Diamonettes take Sweepstakes

The Navasota High School Diamonettes finished contest season at The Alamo City Classic in San Antonio Sat., March 7.

Alexia Ellington, Madison Nelms, Jocelynn Luna, London Sapp, and Jasmine Yanez won the Division 1 Soloists. Jasmine Yanez was fourth-place Runner Up Division 1 Soloists and Jocelynn Luna was named first-place small school & second-place highest score overall.

The Diamonette Dance Officers came home with the Sweepstakes; Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence; Judges Awards in Jazz; Lyrical, & Hip Hop; Best Overall-Gold; and Best in Class.

The team as a whole won the Sweepstakes; Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence; Judges Awards in Jazz, Pom, & Novelty; Dr. Drieboldt Award in Military; Wow Factor Award-Jazz; Best Overall-Platinum; Best in Class Second Runner Up; and sixth place overall out of 30 teams.
