MSCN celebrates Texas Independence

Courtesy photo Music Study Club of Navasota celebrated March 3, a day after the official Texas Independence Day, with Misslette The Singing Cowgirl. The guitarist, poet and singer entertained with Texas songs and commentary of the origin and history of some of the selections. Following her performance, guests enjoyed refreshments while visiting with Misslette. Those present included standing R-L: Navasota Radio Station KWBC’s Kenny Graves, Cynthia Todd, Earl and Judith La Fontaine, Carol Gessner, Ann Kapella, Marilyn Bettes and Mary-Claire Maggio. Seated R-L: Misslette, Carolee Botkin and Muddy Water Book Store owner, Susie Linnenbank. MSCN is a member of both the Texas and National Federation of Music Clubs.
