Navasota Theatre Alliance Rising Stars Kid Camp is proud to present Kid Frankenstein, a high energy, audience involved, hilarious ensued, spin on the original Frankenstein that you’ll never see coming.

An accumulation of 21 talented actors and actresses in the second through fifth grade from Navasota, Anderson, Bryan, College Station, Houston and other surrounding areas, will take the stage for three performances. The performance Friday, July 26, will start at 7 p.m. There will be two performances Saturday, July 27, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and may be purchased online, www.navasotatheatre.org.

Jessica McHale is making her second directing debut of the summer and is ecstatic to present a wonderful play performed by talented up and coming actors and actresses.

The plot

Frankie and Irving are science nerds who have an unusual idea for the upcoming science fair. When Doctor Frankenstein’s ancient book arrives from Transylvania, the friends are whisked into a sci-fi fantasy of time-warped, weirdly scary and lively adventure.

Troublemakers T-Bone and his gang of Bones try to ruin Frankie’s plans even as the monster terrifies the villagers.

During the weeklong camp, campers learn theater safety, creating scar makeup, character development and getting in touch with their feelings through mood painting.
