Mr. Floyd J. Grupa, 91, of Bedias, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Visitation with family and friends was held Monday, April 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson. Floyd was born in Anderson on April 23, 1931, to William & Hattie (Hurst) Grupa. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and eventually went to work for Sears where he was employed for over 40 years. He married Mary Vitanza on November 14, 1954, and to this union two sons were born. Floyd was a life-long farmer and rancher as well as an auctioneer. The couple lost their son, William, and Floyd never got over the loss. William had a difficulty learning, and Floyd would patiently teach him by taking lawn mowers apart and putting them back together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Grupa; son, William Grupa; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Floyd is survived by his son, Nicholas Grupa.

Serving as pallbearers are Mark Vitanza, Mark Villman, Ralf Day, Dr. C.H. Prihoda, David Grupa, and Dr. Thomas Hujar.
