Harold Wisnoski 1933 – 2024

Harold Wisnoski, 90, of Navasota, died, March 2, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in College Station. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 8, followed by a parish rosary and vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stoneham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Edward C. Kucera, Jr. as the celebrant. The rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. 

He was born in Grimes County, Texas, October 13, 1933, to Tony Wisnoski and Martha Brown Wisnoski. On October 10, 1953, he married Janie Busa Wisnoski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson, TX. They lived in Houston for a good number of years where they raised a family of 4 boys. 

He began his work career on the floor at the American Can Co. and ultimately worked his way up to Plant Manager, after many years at American Can, he decided to leave for a new position at the Coca Cola bottling company in a senior management position. Harold finished his career as Executive Vice President at Dr Pepper bottling company in Irving TX. Upon his retirement he was able to purchase his family’s homestead in Stoneham, TX, the place where he was born and raised, and he took up ranching. 

Harold enjoyed the closeness, this brought him to his family, friends, local church community and his roots where he grew up. He was a devoted husband and loving father, and always enjoyed the opportunities he had to spend with his family and his lengthy collection of dogs. Harold was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stoneham. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janie who passed on April 30, 2008. She was truly the love of his life, and he missed her dearly every moment after her passing.  

He was also preceded in death by his father Tony Wisnoski (June 25,1967) and his mother Martha Brown Wisnoski (March 26,1967) and his only sister Margaret Lucille Wisnoski Borski (Sept. 8, 1963), and her husband Walter Borski of Anderson TX, and their 2 daughters Virginia Borski Shaeffer and Dottie Borski Rizzo. Grandson, Brian Joseph Wisnoski (June 9, 2021), brother-in-law Alfred Busa and wife Vicki, sister-in-law, Margret Busa Sechelski and husband David Sechelski, Brother in law, Ed Busa and wife Verlyn, sister-in-law, Anna Mae Busa Vezurk, and husband Steve Vezurk, Brother in law Raymond Joesph Burzynski husband to surviving sister-in-law, Lucille Busa Burzynski. 

Harold is survived by sons, Ken Wisnoski and his wife Marcella of Henderson, NV, and his son Jeffrey, wife Megan and his son Owen, and daughter Rachel, Mark Wisnoski and his wife Debbie of Houston TX. and their daughter in law Jackie, wife to Brian (deceased), and their children Evan and Brooke, Daughter Megan and husband Jayson, and their 3 children, Adisson, Parker and Jayden. Andrew Wisnoski and wife Pam of Carbondale, CO and their 2 children Drew and Sarah, David Wisnoski and wife Elizabeth of Tomball and their 2 children, Matthew and Alex, wife Jacklyn, and their 2 children Faith and Knox.
