Linda Lee Cotharn Mikus passed away March 3, 2019, in Weatherford, Texas. She was born April 5, 1944, in Navasota, Texas, the daughter of Albert Cotharn and T. Earlee Cotharn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Mikus Jr., and two sisters, Margie Hurt and Audrey Franklin.

She is survived by one brother, Seth Cotharn, and one sister, Beth Blaylock; along with one son, Randy; daughter-in-law, Brook; daughter, Kathy; son-in-law, Greg; and three grandsons, Daniel, Gus and Michael.

Linda graduated from Navasota High School and then studied nursing in Austin. She and Ben were married in 1963. The family moved frequently, but settled in Terrell, Texas, in 1977 to continue raising their family.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, performing in the choir in later years.

She loved wildflowers and feeding the birds that came to her backyard feeder. She did not like the squirrels, though. She enjoyed watching baseball, cooking and working in her yard.

She was proudest of her grandsons and we are sorry that she didn’t have more time to be with them. She will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Terrell Athletic and Recreation Association to support youth baseball in Terrell at
