The Lady Bulldogs clinch playoffs

The Iola Lady Bulldogs had a victorious week with incredible wins over Normangee and Hearne.

Iola defeated the Normangee Panthers 3-1, Tuesday, Oct. 18, (25-16, 25-23, 14-25, 26-24). The JV won their game as well. 

For Iola’s Homecoming, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Hearne Lady Eagles, Friday, Oct. 21, securing an easy win 3-0 (25-2, 25-8, 25-9). 

“We ended up in second place in a very tough district 22-2A,” stated Head Volleyball Coach, Jamie Mcdougald. “We are excited about getting into the playoffs. We will play bi-district next Tuesday. We will know more details later in the week.” 

“We have come a long way this season and are super excited for playoffs,” said junior Abree Raley. “A lot of people were doubting us this year because we have such a young team, but we are here to prove them wrong.”

The Iola Lady Bulldogs played the Fayetteville Lady Lions Tuesday, Oct. 25 (results were not available at press time).
