Lindsey Gooch qualifies for the 2A State Championship with a third place finish at Regionals in Corpus Christi.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Iola junior runner, Lindsey Gooch is returning to the 2A State Cross Country meet in Round Rock, after placing third at Regionals.

Gooch finished with a time of 12:53 at the Regional Meet. “This is the strongest I have ever seen from Lindsey,” explained Iola Cross Country Coach Karen Heintz. “it is really impressive because she already starts with a strong pace, but he has added a strong kick to her finish.”

The 2A State Cross Country meet is set for a 11:40 a.m. start time Friday, Nov. 4, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Last year she placed 16^th.
