Rattlers improve to 12-1

Two walkoff hits helped the Navasota Rattlers go undefeated at the Navasota Rattler Classic Thursday, March 10-12.

In game three Sophomore Hudson Minor hit an inside the park homerun to give Navasota a 5-3 win over Gateway. Cade Richards wore the hero’s cap in with a walkoff hit to beat Coldspring 4-3. Navasota improves to 12-1 on the season.

Navasota will host Giddings Thursday, March 17 with JV set for 11 a.m. and varsity at 1 p.m. The Rattlers host Smithville at noon and 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 18. District play begins on the road at Bellville Tuesday, March 22, 4:30 and 7 p.m.
