Evergreen Baptist Church held their Back to School Bash at the church Aug. 21, with a total of 150 people, children and adults. Everyone enjoyed tacos and snow cones and had a wonderful time.

Read moreArea residents were happy to learn of the birth of Kaylee Sue Brown, born to Ethan Earl and Alli Brown born in Tennessee. She was born Aug. 15, and weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 inches long. Kaylee is the first grandchild of John Ray Maxwell, the first great grandchild of Connie Sue Davis Francis and first niece of Peyton Ray Brown. We are certainly happy to have her in the family. They are planning to come see us on Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to see her and her parents.

There will be gardening activities for Clover kids, ages 5-7. Members 8 to18 will experience horticulture, Master Gardeners, create a design in fashion, create a food and nutrition dish, archery using safety arrows, archery using safety arrows and photography camera basics.
