Summer VBS programs ongoing
Thank you to all our loyal friends who came Saturday to purchase a sandwich and to everyone who donated to our air pack needs. White Hall Community VFD is in need of purchasing new air packs and the expense exceeds our budget. If you live in the area assigned to our VFD, we would appreciate any help we can receive. I enjoyed seeing fair pictures on Facebook this week. Paige sent one to me of little man on a silver tractor and he was smiling. I don’t doubt he had lots of fun. That sure was a cool tractor!
This is just a reminder that the Christian Community Center in Navasota is in need of food items. Grocery items and monies are gratefully accepted.
Flag Day, June 14, will be recognized at Grimes County VFW Post 4006 from 6–8 p.m. Please come and see how tattered, no longer used flags are properly retired and broaden your knowledge about your duties as a US citizen.
Mark your calendars for the “soft” re-opening of Whitehall Café, located across the Whitehall Store Saturday, June 17, from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. They are open Thursday through Sunday. The Grand Opening will be a few weeks later. Breakfast, burgers, salads and sandwiches will be served.
Grimes Health Resource Center opened a community clothes closet at the resource center. This is a place you can donate clothes and shoes. The Clothes Closet is open Monday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located in the Grimes St. Joseph Hospital.
