Vote at Keith Community Center March 1
Area residents were sorry to learn of the death of Vicki Crenshaw Crawford who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8. Her funeral service was held at Lindley Robertson Holt Funeral Home in Navasota Wednesday, Feb. 16. She was buried in Evergreen Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Crawford, who passed away Oct. 23, 2018 and by her parents, Mackree “Mac” and Alice Marie Hutchins Crenshaw, all of whom are also buried in Evergreen Cemetery. Do remember all of her family members in your prayers.
There is another death to report, Clifford Perkins passed away Sunday, Feb. 6. He was the son of Roy and Barbara Perkins that lived for many years on CR 172. Roy ran a barbershop and was well-known to many people. Clifford passed away suddenly. There will be a celebration of his life at the Keith Community Center Saturday, Feb. 19, beginning at 1:30 p.m. All of his family members will gather to remember him and to wish him well. His sister Lisa Perkins will be in charge of the event. Do remember his loved ones in your prayers.
Make plans to vote at the Keith Community Center Tuesday, March 1, or one of the other polling places. The hours will be from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. The Grimes County Courthouse and Navasota Center are currently open for early voting. Call Grimes County Elections for hours. Plan to vote and make your wishes known.
The monthly meeting of the Iola North Zulch Order of the Eastern Star will have their monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 28, at the Pyramid Masonic Lodge. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by their meeting. All members of the Eastern Star are invited to attend.
The monthly meeting of the Pyramid Masonic Lodge No 593 was held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at their lodge hall in North Zulch with a good number attending. There were numerous business items discussed and acted upon. All present had a wonderful time.
