Adam Dodson has been named the 2018 Officer of the Year for the Navasota Police Department. Each year the department officers and staff nominate one of their own, who exemplifies the department’s core values.
Dodson began his law enforcement career in June 2006, and he was hired by the Navasota Police Department in March 2008. He served as a patrolman until December 2015, when he was promoted to investigator.
“He has served in the capacity of Field Training Officer for many years and will continue in that role as we promote two more officers within the next year to investigations,” said Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt. “Dodson has received many letters of appreciation from citizens, other law enforcement agencies, and Navasota Police Department throughout his employment. He is a loyal dedicated employee, who fosters a team player spirit among his peers.”
