BRENHAM – Friends of Bluebonnet Opry proudly welcome Briana Adams and David Lewis to the Silver Wings Ballroom Stage Thursday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Joplin, you could be forgiven for thinking she is. In reality, Texas singer/songwriter

Briana Adams is a sweet-natured southern crooner that really just wants to share her music with the world.

Her songs are a honky tonk acid trip of classic dancehall and 70’s outlaw country rolled into a tight-knit package, all headlined by a big Texas voice and an unmistakable style that’s all her own. And if you catch a little twist of blues and rock’n’ roll in the vocals, that’s not by accident. Growing up in a small Texas town like Winchester, that’s the way country music is done!

For the last 12 years, Briana has been touring all over Texas. She has opened for some Texas Country/Red Dirt greats along the way including The Bellamy Brothers, Randy Rogers Band, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, and Charlie Robison.

With the upcoming release of her new EP “One More Highway,” 2021 figures to be a big year for her. Says Briana, “I believe this new record is exactly what I needed to jump back into things! Each song is so stylistically different, and I think it will give the audience a glimpse of what I’m capable of!”

Her superlative voice, vintage style, and quiet confidence even in the face of doubt will take her a long way. Stay tuned for a lot more from this rising Texas artist.

David Lewis

Country roots run deep with David Lewis after being raised in the small town of Bellville. Music has been a part of David’s life from a young age. First playing in church and then on the opry circuit across Texas, David has had the chance to perform with numerous musicians who focused on traditional country. David found himself being drawn to the music of Merle Haggard, George Strait, and Brooks & Dunn, where he continues to make traditional country sound new again.

David’s performances have earned him numerous awards through the years and given him the opportunity to share the stage with country stars like Mark Chesnutt and Diamond Rio.

In 2019, David wrote and co-produced his debut album “Country Music Therapy” which is available on all the major streaming platforms. David is currently writing his sophomore album which he plans to release in the near future.

David’s shows are high energy performances that combine amazing guitar picking and classic vocal sounds. It has often been said that David is a mixture of Brad Paisley and George Strait, which has earned him fans of all ages. The fun David has on stage is contagious, and you will leave remembering how country music should make you feel.

David has said that being a musician is a journey and no one’s path is the same. He has met fine musicians and supportive fans along the way. He is thankful for every opportunity that comes his way where he can share his passion and keep real country music alive.

Friends of Bluebonnet Opry hosts concerts every third Thursday of the month with proceeds benefitting Hospice Brazos Valley. Tickets are $7 each. The grill is open with great food and drinks are available for purchase.
