Speaking to Grimes County constituents gathered at Juan & Linda’s Café in Anderson, Brady discussed the war in Ukraine, the border crisis and the economy.

Responding to a citizen inquiry about dependency on foreign oil and if the Biden Administration has had a change of heart related to the Keystone Pipeline, Brady replied that the administration has “not softened its stance on American-made energy.”

Brady stressed the lethal nature of fentanyl coming across the border as well as the large numbers of humans being trafficked. According to Brady, 2 million illegal immigrants have entered since President Joe Biden took office in 2021, and an estimated 3 million additional individuals are expected to cross during a 3–6-month period if Title 42 is allowed to expire. Title 42, according to Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, “is not an immigration authority, but rather a public health authority used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to protect against the spread of communicable disease.”

Nearly two dozen attended Brady’s Coffee with Kevin and included Republican precinct chairs, judges and members of the Iola Young Republicans Club.
