    Masonic dedication at Justice Center

The Orphan’s Friend Masonic Lodge #17 in Anderson will conduct a cornerstone dedication at the Grimes County Justice and Business Center next to the Grimes County jail at 382 FM 149 West, Saturday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. Lunch is being provided following the ceremony, courtesy of the Orphan’s Friend Lodge. The cornerstone symbolizes sturdiness, morality, and truth. It is customary for Masons to lay the cornerstones of public buildings through ceremony – traditionally, with the stone placed in the northeast corner of the foundation.
