Daniel Webster Ruckett, Jr., 71, of Plantersville, died Saturday evening, July 9, 2022, at his home.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will take place 2:00 pm Saturday, July 16, at Center Point Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmie Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Coax Berry Cemetery in Plantersville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Woods, Tyrese Cooper, Norris Foster, Leonard Andres, Jr., Derrick Palmer and James Shields, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Toddrick Manning, Byron Franklin, John Palmer, Jr., Anthony Woods, Jr., Charles Shields and Jabril Hunter.

Daniel was born December 19, 1950 in Plantersville to Rev. D.W. and Norella Stewart Ruckett. Daniel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Plantersville. Daniel was a retired hay bailing assistant and enjoyed cutting grass.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce Manning, Dollester Palmer, Urenda Ruckett and Linda Steptoe; two brothers, Rev. Wardell Ruckett and James Earl Ruckett.

He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Margie Andrus, Christine Shields, Ora Lee Woods and Lois Peterson; a brother, Charles Ray Ruckett; a devoted cousin, Argie Payne and a host of other relatives and friends.
