Doyle Wayne Cooper passed away March 20, 2022, at 79 years old, peacefully in his home. His memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 S College Avenue, Bryan TX 77801.

Coop was born January 1, 1943, in Chickasha Oklahoma to Curtis and Betty Lou Cooper. After graduating El Reno High School in Oklahoma, like the hard-working man he was, he went straight to work. Coop found his calling when starting in the oilfield industry at Dowell Chemical in 1966. He continued in the industry until retiring from Sub Surface Tools December 24, 2016.

He enjoyed all things music, roping, golfing and most of all being with his family on the water. Coop was proud of his native American heritage as a member of the Chickasha Nation. Until his last day you could find Coop sitting on his front porch, waving at anyone that passed by, with his cocktail, his wife Rita and Twister.

Coop is survived by his loving wife, Rita Cooper and his faithful companion Twister; sister, Carol “Sugie” Armstrong and husband Jim of Oklahoma; children, Curtis Cooper of Lehi, UT; Christel Cooper of College Station; Angela Schroeder and husband Ryan of Anderson; Nicole Morgan and husband Joe of Fort Worth; John Christy of Anderson; grandchildren, Erick, Marselena, Cole, Angelo, Christian, Ryan Grace, Rylee, Bristol, Madison, Connor, Nick; and extended family and friends.
