ERIVES

Mr. Hedilberto “Beto” Erives, of Navasota, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation with family and friends was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. Services celebrating his life were held at Nobles Funeral Chapel Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with interment immediately following at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

Beto was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 3, 1946 to Jose and Maria Erives. He grew up in Mexico. He married his soulmate, Juanita, on January 6, 1973. Beto moved his wife and children to Navasota, Texas to build a better life in the United States. He worked hard his whole life to make sure his children had an education and knew the value of working for better opportunities.

Beto loved being outdoors, and enjoyed sitting in the sunshine on his porch, watching birds, and other wildlife, but his favorite place to be was with his wife and family. He and Juanita were inseparable. They were married 50 years and made sure they kept their vows of “for better or worse, in sickness and in health.”

Beto was a very quiet person and enjoyed people’s company in silence at times. He was the master of “dad” jokes, and had lots of sayings and quotes that he lived by. Beto loved a good mariachi song, Mexican music, and singing with his wife. He was a master-of-all trades, and loved to weld and do woodwork.

He will be deeply missed forever by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Juanita; son, Rene Erives, daughter-in law, Melissa Crouch; granddaughter, Aisha Segovia; grandson-in-law, Jesus Morales; great-granddaughter, Natalia Morales; grandson, Diego Erives; granddaughter, Amelia Erives; chosen granddaughter, Nyasia Jackson; son, Jon Erives; daughter, Gaby Giles; son-in-law, Nathan Giles; grandson, Arlo Giles; daughter, Liz Erives Jarvis; son-in-law, Jed Jarvis; 8 brothers, and 3 sisters who all live in Mexico with their wives and husbands, and children, family in Texas, Oklahoma, and California, and friends who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and several relatives in Mexico.

Serving as pallbearers are Rene Erives, Diego Erives, Nathan Giles, Jed Jarvis, and Miguel Gutierrez.
