Evergreen Family Fall Festival Oct. 26
The Family Sowell will be in the morning worship service at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. Come feed your soul and be blessed by some great Gospel Bluegrass music. There will be a covered dish meal following the service. If you wish, come enjoy the activities. All are welcome to attend. Iola’s Annual Hay Day Celebration is Saturday, Oct. 27. There will be a parade on Main Street at 9 a.m. and a variety of booths and all sort of fun activities. There will also be a cake walk. Come out and enjoy the fun. The annual meeting of the Concord Cemetery Association will be held at the Concord Chapel Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. Anyone with ties to the cemetery are welcome to attend. The president of the association is Andy Selman. Hope to see you there.
The monthly meeting of the Iola North Zulch Order of the Eastern Star No 458 will have their monthly meeting Monday, Oct. 24, at the Pyramid Masonic Lodge in North Zulch. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. All members of the Eastern Star are welcome to attend.
Evergreen Baptist Church’s Family Fall Festival is Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. There will be hotdogs, smores, infl atables, cake walk, bingo, volleyball, gaga ball, cornhole and much more. Come out and enjoy all the fun. Everyone is welcome to attend.
It is almost time for the November General Election. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
