At the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest in Brenham, April 9, the 73–member Rattler Symphonic Band earned a 1–1–2 on stage and 2–1–1 in sightreading. The band will perform a percussion ensemble concert at the NJH Fang Gym, May 1, and the Spring Concert, “A Cinematic Universe” is May 13, at the Brosig Performing Arts Center. Both performances begin at 6:30 p.m.

Commissioners Michael Raska and Chad Mallett were absent.
