Regional powerlifting qualifiers are Angelina Burnett, Isabel Seale, Emma Stankiewicz, Hannah Silcox, Joceyln Sanchez, and Daana Mena.
Navasota also has three Regional Alternates: Ava Stankiewicz, Bre'nyiah Walter, and Mckenzie Crawford.

Owls qualifying include Keaton Soltow, Johnathan Ngov, Travis Anderson, Dean Aldava, Andre Nguyen, Noah Daniel and Randy Mills.

Navasota High School hosted eight teams at the third Navasota Invitational Tennis Tournament of the year, Feb. 22.
Throughout the day 102 matches were played on Navasota’s eight-court facility. Senior Kylie Maxson placed second in girl’s singles. McKenzie Crawford and Kylie Ritter finished fourth in girl’s doubles. Sibling duo, freshman Carmen Herrera and junior Francisco Herrera earned fourth-place in mixed doubles.
Navasota junior varsity played at Waller Tuesday (results were not available at press time). Navasota hosts its fourth invitational March 1.

MANOR – The Navasota Lady Rattlers clinched a 4A Area Round Championship with a 61-57 win over La Vernia Feb. 17.
Navasota was led by senior Nala Richardson with 27 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Junior, Bryanna Stokes scored 14 points. Jalyn Williams and Kylie Steptoe each grabbed eight rebounds.

ANDERSON – Anderson-Shiro is off to a fast start for the 2023 softball season picking up wins over Alpha Omega Academy and Mumford.
The Lady Owls defeated Alpha Omega in the season-opener 9-3. Jade Buchanan led the Lady Owls going 3-4 with two homeruns and four RBI’s. Ally White was 3-4 with two doubles and three RBI’s. Alysa Zehler finished with a pair of doubles.

Navasota varsity girls’ powerlifters finished second at Lake Creek Feb. 15, with stronge finishes by several lifters. Jocelyn Sanchez, Isabel Seale, McKenzie Crawford and Daana Mena powered their way to first-place finishes. Emma Stankiewicz placed second and Hannah Silcox and Angelina Burnett each placed third.
