The Plantersville community and elected officials gathered at the Plantersville Town Hall Monday, Feb. 22, to break ground for an 875-square foot addition. It was 30 years ago that historic-minded community members saved the former Masonic Lodge at 11335 Lodge Lane from becoming a “practice burn” for the local volunteer fire department. While some of those dedicated folks have died or no longer live in the community, many are still involved, and those who’ve joined them, are no less committed.
