Following a public hearing with several comments, the Navasota City Council denied a sign variance application for a 20-foot pole sign and reader board for the new O’Reilly Auto Parts Enterprises, LLC, at 700 N. LaSalle Street. Chapter 3, Sign Regulations, allows freeway pole signs only within 400 feet of SH 6 and SH 105. According to Development Services Director Lupe Diosdado, O’Reilly wants to replicate the sign at the current location which is approximately 874-feet south in a shopping center.
