Mr. Richard Eugene Lay, 72, of Navasota, passed away on Monday, February 13. Graveside services were held 10:00 a.m. Sunday, February 19, in Brookside Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Edward Walker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Richard was born in Trenton, MI, on December 23, 1950, to Homer Lay, Jr. and Mary Frances Crouch. He attended Dickinson High School, but later enlisted in the United States Marines Corps, at the age of 17. Richard proudly served his country for 11 years and was a Vietnam War veteran.

Archie was born in Anderson, TX, on December 15, 1934, to Joe and Annie (Seigle) Kitkoski. He met and later married his wife, Betty (Cone) Kitkoski on November 10, 1956, and to this union four children were born. He later opened his company, Kits Industries Inc., in 1976 and worked there until recent years.

Jim was born in Orange, TX, on December 17, 1948, to Menville & Dorothy Flippen. He graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in Orange, TX, and attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX. While in college Jim began working at Metcalf Funeral Home which turned out to be the beginning of a career in the funeral industry that spanned 50 years. After graduating from the Commonwealth College of Sciences (Mortuary School) in 1973, Jim worked for Earthman’s Funeral Home and Levy Brothers Funeral Home before moving to the vendor side of the industry where he worked for Batesville Casket Company and Aurora Casket Company.

Services for Louis Charles Taylor were 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church (1005 Nolan St) in Navasota. Interment was at Little Flock Cemetery.
